Lifesaver! If you’re worried about the cost, consider all the things your dog as destroyed from escaping and the vet bills that have occurred from the pup getting hurt (or is that just me...) We rescued a young pit baby and IMMEDIATELY had issues with crate training her. She busted out of her wire kennel the first day we put her in it. The second time, she destroyed it as well as the tray and completely broke her K9 tooth in half and cut her face trying to escape.
We then went to one of those plastic airport kennels with the metal door. That was ok for a while until she figured out how to pop the door open from the inside.
We left her in the garage while we were at work but the hot Alabama weather made that difficult for us to do. We were desperate.
We finally gave in and purchased this after 2 wire crates and 2 of the airport kennels. This crate saved our dog and our house. It is sturdy and solid. She goes in and stays in comfortably because she knows she can’t escape.
When we go out of town and she’s at the dog sitter, we do send it with her so that’s a pain because it’s so heavy, but it’s worth it to know she’s safe and the sitter’s house is going to be ok.
